Guest Responsibility Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. Overview

When you book a stay through Bokora, you take on a responsibility to treat the property, the host, and the surrounding community with care and respect. This policy sets out what we expect from all guests.

2. Respect for the Property

Guests are expected to leave the property in the same condition they found it. This includes:

  • Not causing damage to furniture, fixtures, fittings, or the building itself
  • Disposing of rubbish properly and following any recycling instructions
  • Reporting any accidental damage to the host promptly
  • Not removing any items belonging to the property

3. Adherence to House Rules

Each listing may have its own house rules set by the host. By completing a booking, you agree to follow these rules for the duration of your stay. Common rules may include restrictions on smoking, pets, noise levels, and the number of guests permitted.

Failure to comply with house rules may result in early termination of your stay without refund, and potential charges for any damage or additional cleaning required.

4. Guest Numbers

Only the number of guests specified at the time of booking are permitted to stay at the property overnight. Unauthorised additional guests are a breach of our terms and may result in the booking being cancelled.

5. Noise and Neighbours

Guests must be considerate of neighbours and the local community at all times. Excessive noise, parties, or events are prohibited unless expressly permitted by the host in writing. Quiet hours specified by the host must be respected.

6. Safety

Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their group during their stay. Please familiarise yourself with the safety information provided by the host, including emergency exits, fire safety equipment, and any specific hazards on the property.

Bokora is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage suffered by guests during their stay.

7. Illegal Activity

The use of a Bokora-listed property for any illegal activity is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to drug use, illegal gatherings, or any activity that breaches local laws. Bokora reserves the right to report any such activity to the relevant authorities.

8. Check-in and Check-out

Guests must adhere to the check-in and check-out times agreed with the host. Late check-out without prior agreement may result in additional charges. Please communicate any travel delays to your host as early as possible.

9. Liability for Damages

Guests are financially liable for any damage caused to the property beyond normal wear and tear. Bokora may facilitate the resolution of damage claims between guests and hosts but is not responsible for covering the cost of damages.
